Oyster Bay Station 2022 Restoration Update
Eric Scheblein of Scheblein plumbing had his crew come in and hook us up to both the waste line in the street and gave us our cold water lines installed. One of our biggest supporters, Steve Minicozzi of Cozi Enterprises donated his money time and services to have our bathroom doors installed and painted, put down a beautiful new tile floor and painted the bathroom a neutral beige. When dry, they will finish the bathroom installation of sink, toilet and other pieces.

Oyster Bay Station Display Yard Update
When we opened up for the 2021 season we were fortunate to finally be in our Historic, Presidential railroad station.
We were also happy to be able to introduce our fully operational turntable at the display yard. Our visitation level has increased and folks are planning their visits around the opportunity to ride on the turntable!
But! That was last year.
After setting up our 6 year plan, this year, 2022, we are installing 2 tracks off our turntable and will have them ready at our season opening. Afterwards, we are bringing in a rigging crew and crane to move many pieces of equipment in the display yard to their new spots. Over the winter and into the spring, our amazing volunteers have brought us to this point through their hard work.
Jim Schoomaker brought in and dumped, 22 cubic yards of Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA). After that, Nick Doering moved it around so our volunteers could create the 2 track roadbeds.
Over the month of April, we will finish these 2 tracks
